Sgt. Jason Harkins was killed in Iraq May 6th by a roadside bomb. His funeral procession was over 15 minutes long. People were lined up all up and down the highway with American flags as the procession rode by. It was given a police escort from Atlanta to my town, where Sgt. Harkins lived.
All businesses in town closed for this to pause for three hours. For more info, note me.

Sometimes I wonder about wars.
Why can't we all just live in peace?

Because people all have different definitions of "peace".
And because there is no such thing as a perfect government, but that doesn't mean that we should ignore genocide.
Which is what was happening when we went into Iraq, but it escalated into what it needed to escalate into.

This is very cool, nice to hear about patriotism in other countries!
And such a procession is a good way to give respect to the soldiers wo did fall for the country, and for the freedom.

Small towns like mine are very patriotic when things like this happen. It's a nice feeling to know that other people care. =)
The actual procession was amazing, there were so many people, it lasted for 15 minutes going up the road.
